Sony Ericsson plans to outsource its second Windows Mobile-based smartphone to Taiwan-based Mobinnova, a handset maker under Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), instead of cooperating with its current production partner High Tech Computer (HTC), according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Although Sony Ericsson is believed to continue expanding its lineup of Windows Mobile-based smartphones, the company's partnership with HTC will come to an end when the current production of Xperia X1 handsets completes its business circle, the paper quoted industry sources as indicating.

台灣電子時報報導,Sony Ericsson 下一部 Xperia 會繼續使用 Windows Mobile 系統,但不會選用 HTC 為 OEM 廠。據報會改為 Foxconn 富士康旗下的 Mobinnova 負責。而 ePrice 收到的消息, Foxconn 亦會同是生產下年一月 Palm 公佈全新 PalmOS 智能手機。
