據爆料人冰宇宙的消息，即將發表的蘋果 iPhone 17 Pro Max 厚度將達到 8.76mm，比前代的 8.21mm 更厚，原因可能是傳言中電池容量增加到了 5,000mAh，而三星明年的 S26 Ultra 厚度則只有 7.xxmm，但電池容量也同樣為 5,000mAh，且兩者在重量上的差距還會比厚度更加明顯。
早前有韓媒報導，三星將在 Galaxy S26 系列用上矽碳負極電池，能量密度比一般碳基鋰離子電池高，即使 S26 Ultra 的電池容量相同，但機身會更加輕薄，而且也有機會採用更高功率的充電技術。

有趣的是，傳聞蘋果也將採用矽碳負極電池技術，不過只用在厚度僅 5.5mm的 iPhone 17 Air，且電池容量依舊只有 2,800mAh，但三星同樣主打超薄厚度的 S25 Edge，5.8mm 的機身內置了 3,900mAh 電池。
