分析師郭明錤稱儘管有市場傳聞，指蘋果的摺疊螢幕 iPhone 有可能採用超音波屏下指紋辨識，但據他的消息來看不太可能，蘋果摺疊螢幕 iPhone 仍將採用側邊電源鍵整合指紋辨識設計，並由中國立訊精密提供。
郭明錤的消息也呼應了先前彭博社記者 Mark Gurman 的報導，儘管屏下指紋設計可行，目前全球摺疊螢幕手機幾乎都採用側邊指紋辨識，連當年以雙超音波指紋辨識為主打特色的 vivo，在最新一代的 X Fold 5 也改成了側邊指紋辨識。
摺疊螢幕手機統一陣線採用側邊指紋辨識的原因，其一可能是因為使用方便，只要一個指紋辨識模組不管展開闔上都能使用，同時能夠降低摺疊螢幕手機的高昂成本，不用在螢幕上疊加零件，也能讓機身厚度更薄，比起屏下指紋有多重優勢。
