爆料人 Arsène Lupin 於 Twitter/X 上公布了 Google 的新耳機情報，產品將名為 Google Pixel Buds 2a，與旗下手機的命名方式一致，並將推出四款顏色，分別是 Hazel、Strawberry、Iris、Fog Light，可能為灰綠色、粉紅色、藍紫色以及白色。
從 Google Pixel Buds 2a 的從名稱就可以看出，這款耳機將接替 Google Pixel Buds A-Series，成為 Google 新一代平價真無線耳機，這也是 Google 自 2021 年推出 Pixel Buds A-Series 後，第一次更新旗下的平價耳機產品。
Google Pixel Buds 2a 不意外也將深度整合 Google AI 功能，其他規格暫時沒有消息；近年真無線耳機普及，許多高階功能都已下放到平價產品，比如三星 Galaxy Buds Core 已經具備了主動降噪，Google Pixel Buds 2a 若想在同期產品中脫穎而出，不僅需具備吸引人的售價，功能升級也勢在必行。
